Don’t know if I mentioned this – but today Jim and I walked my dad through the day of the crash to see what he remembered. We had to give him some prodding – the tarts my mum made for the Bastille day party Anne & Chuck held, parking the car at the Beverly airport – but as we spoke he began to put it all together – he remembers meeting Morsey and his kids as they got off the plane, he remembers flying with Joan and mum, and remembers everything right up until the crash. so – his memory is there, which is great.
Also – my mum wanted me to let people know that anyone that is living in the area is more than welcome (encouraged) to come to the house and take all the veggies and herbs from the garden. My folks have put a huge (and I cannot emphasize this enough) effort into the garden and Sylvia is very concerned that all her efforts will go to waste if noone eats or takes advantage of all the stuff growing. So please, please, please, if you live in the area, come to Masconomo street and have your way with the veggies. Mmm. Also – enjoy the beach, enjoy the lawn (which was recently and lovingly mown by Ted and Charlie) and in general come and enjoy the surroundings – It’s too beautiful a spot to go unused. Really – this is more of a command than a suggestion.
